About Magny-Le-Hongre
A village or a resort center, Magny le Hongre awaits tourists and visitors at only 3 minutes from the French capital. Parisian outskirts offer as many attractions and sites of interest as the city - world tourist capital, can offer itself.
The village of Magny le Hongre is set next to the Disneyland Entertainment Park. Though offering modern comfort and contemporary facilities, the village has a fascinating background going back to the 8th century when the name of Magny was first mentioned in historical documents. Since then the small village has preserved its old-time charm, narrow streets, old-fashioned charming houses and many historical sites. The old public bath stands among them as one of the most beautiful in Europe. Its lovely pools and fountains were completely restored in 1995. The village was once named after its patron - Sainte Genevieve, and a church to glorify her was set in its central part. The time has erased the original look of the building, though a restoration plan has been in course for the last few years. Still visitors can admire the impressive mixture of styles in architecture and decoration that many generations in row incorporated in their efforts to revive the beautiful building.
